About Us

Established in1875 Goetz began with the manufacturing of Metal Working Machinery and Fireproof Safes, progressing to Can Seaming machines in 1905.

Can Making Equipment, Power Presses and Canning Machinery followed until 1939 when the outbreak of the Second World War saw manufacturing efforts diverted to the production of Shell Fuses and Tooling for the manufacturing of 303 bullets as well as Vickers and Browning machine guns.

Following WW2 High Speed can Making Lines were produced as well as Canning Machinery and Presses. This continued until the Year 2000 when it was decided to concentrate on Can Seamers and the ongoing Spare Parts supply.

In 2009 a Used/Rebuilt Can Seamer division was established and this department is now one of the larger Rebuilt Can Seamer suppliers in the World.

Today we manufacture New Can Seamers, both our standard Range and Specialised “one offs” recent examples being a 1300 CPM combination Meat Filler/Seamer and a Single Head numerically controlled Driven Footplate Seamer.
